Delangi.com – President Prabowo Subianto arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, United States, on Saturday (September 20, 2025) at around 4:50 p.m. local time. His arrival marked the beginning of his working visit to attend the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

From the airport, the President went directly to the hotel where he will be staying during his visit to New York. He was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy confirmed that President Prabowo is scheduled to deliver his speech during the General Debate on Tuesday (September 23, 2025). Indonesia will take the third speaking slot, following Brazil and the United States.

“This year’s General Assembly is a crucial moment for Indonesia, not only to once again appear at the highest level of the UN forum, but also to reaffirm Indonesia’s role as a leader of the Global South, consistently advocating for reform of global governance to make it more just and inclusive,” Teddy said.

The UN forum is expected to serve as a platform for Indonesia to voice the aspirations of developing nations while strengthening the country’s diplomatic standing on the global stage.
